It could have been me

First off, thank you all so much for the support you’ve shown me in the last 24 hours. It’s been a very difficult time.

For those who don’t know, I was almost on Asiana Flight 214, the flight that crashed in San Francisco on Saturday. I wasn’t in South Korea, nor did I have any intention of flying to the States on any flight, let alone that specific one, but I could have been.

I could’ve been on that flight with my wife, my two ten-month old babies, and MY TWO DOGS! My two Shih Tzus could have been in the belly of the plane when the tail broke! Can you imagine that? I thank God every minute for keeping us thousands of miles away from South Korea and stopping us from boarding that plane.

I haven’t felt this blessed since Whitney Houston died. I could’ve accidentally drowned in the bathtub with her on that tragic evening. It could’ve been me, my wife, my two ten-month old babies, and MY TWO DOGS in that tub with Whitney. Thankfully, sweet baby Jesus saw to it that I never met Whitney, and even if I were in that tub with her, she would’ve freaked out and called security and I would have been saved.

The important thing to remember in times like these is that every tragedy, no matter how far away, can be about you, just as God intended it.

Thank you all again. And God bless.
